What exactly is the OpenAI GPT Store? How is it different from ChatGPT?

The GPT Store is filled with millions of apps (“GPTs”) which have been developed by third party builders who fine tune ChatGPT to perform a very specific task, and many use ‘actions’ which give the GPTs additional functionality or link to proprietary data sources that the basic version of ChatGPT doesn’t have.


Why do I have to pay for apps in the OpenAI GPT Store? I already pay for ChatGPT!

If you have a paid ChatGPT subscription (ChatGPT Plus, ChatGPT Team or ChatGPT Enterprise), you are paying OpenAI to get access to premium features and higher ChatGPT message limits.


Many apps in the GPT Store are free to use, but some premium apps incur a monthly subscription fee. These app fees go to the builder of the app directly (who are not employed or compensated by OpenAI) and allows them to keep developing useful apps =)


I have an app subscription, why am I still facing message limits when I try to use it?

Your app subscription is still subject to total message limits of your ChatGPT account (it will vary based on whether you currently have a free, Plus, Team or Enterprise account).

What is the cancellation policy?

If you have subscribed to an app in the GPT Store, you are free to cancel anytime. Whenever you subscribe, you will be sent a confirmation email which has a ‘Manage Subscription’ button which allows you to update billing details and cancel your subscription. Alternatively, just email us at help@toproad.ai, and we can cancel it for you!

We collect anonymised data to help developers monitor performance and improve the product, but rest assured—we can’t identify who said what, and we do not sell or share your data. Your privacy is important to us!


I already paid, but the app keeps asking me to pay again

Firstly, check your email for a receipt to ensure you have an active subscription for this specific app. Look for a payment made within the past month. Make sure you’re logged into the app using the same email address you used when subscribing.


If you’re unsure, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Privacy Settings in the app
  2. Select Connected Accounts
  3. Log out of gpt-tools.co.


Then reopen the app and log in again, ensuring you use the correct email address associated with your subscription.
